elationships are the most important part of one’s life and
for me they hold the topmost priority. However, with the passage of time, the spark
in these relationships fades away and they become dull and boring. This
situation is at its pen-ultimate level when the relationship we are referring
to is with your spouse.

It recently struck me that while the relationship was in its
naïve stage, exchanging gifts was a norm. But as the years passed by, this
gesture has gone to docks! So, I thought why not revive the lost spark in the
relationship with a beautiful gift. I know this may sound clichéd to you but
with little efforts, you can add the old spice to your relationship. Coming
back to the gift, I first decided to pen down the ones I already presented to
my hubby dearest!
Starting from the first gift till date, I realized the gifts
were more or less materialistic. Cell phones, flowers, chocolates, clothes, expensive
watch, wallets, etc., and the list was endless. Honestly, there wasn’t much of
an option left as far as such gifts are concerned. So I thought of arranging a romantic
on dinner for him. As this idea was supposed to be a surprise, I had to
carefully plan everything without him even getting the slightest of hint.
Surprise dinners, phew! These can take a toll on you, can’t
they? First, I had to decide the perfect romantic destination. Any rom-com
movie will teach you that there are three ingredients to a perfect dinner date
– beach side or roof top location, wine, and the kiss! I figured out the first
ingredient by booking a posh, it cost me a fortune, but little efforts (read
money) had to be spent. It was time for the second ingredient. Red wine was our
hot favorite throughout the years of dating, and thus I arranged for aged,
imported French red wine. And, the kiss? Well, it will be my consolation price
after the date!
So, my final checklist is ready. Romantic hotel – check, red
wine – check, pretty dress – check, candles – check, and finally exotic food to
suit the occasion – check! Now, the countdown begins for our first surprise
date post marriage! All you beautiful people out there take cue from this and
plan something to bring back the charm and spice in your relationship.
